We loved checking out the Joe Louis Arena and the surrounding area. The room was spacious enough for all of us, and it had a solid microwave and fridge. Plus, the beds were comfy enough for our needs. It's a good spot if you're after something straightforward and budget-friendly.

We did deal with some noise from nearby traffic, which could be a bother for light sleepers.

My husband and I had a rough start with two rooms that both reeked of gross flavors. Human stains and weird smells left us feeling unsafe. Just not what we’d hoped for during our family visit!

Unfortunately, noise from neighboring units is a serious downside, largely due to the outdated plumbing that sounds like a motorcycle club each morning. To add to the frustration, the toilet clogged during my stay, and although a room change was offered, my important paperwork went missing in the process. This kind of experience is not something anyone wants when trying to conduct business while on the road.

The lobby was warm and inviting, making me feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, and I appreciated the easy access to my room.

The room was well-appointed, and despite basic amenities, I felt cozy and cared for. Pro tip, do check out local dining options nearby for great food!

The room was pretty spacious and clean, but the bed was just a bit too firm for my taste. The linens were okay, though I could’ve used more pillows. The fridge and microwave worked fine, which is a plus. I liked that the bathroom felt large enough, but it did show some wear. Not much grass outside either, so take your dog out elsewhere. Staff were friendly, which helps!
